Same here.
Media Encoder 14.3 wont boot up, Disapears during the splash screen. Running Mac OS Catalina 10.15.5
Unistalled and re-installed a few times.
reverted back to 14.2 and that opens but take 4x longer to render than it did do before and often fails near the end of the render.
could really do with an update for this and quick please adobe team as it has totally ruined my workflow.
Can you let us know what is happening
Thanks

Having the same issue, tried uninstall and reinstall, no luck. 13.1.5 works fine except it does't link with the 2020 apps. Hapens on both my MacBookPro and MacPro, both running Catalina.

App tries to load… disappears during splash screen. 10.15.6 macOS, AME 14.3.
Tried install/uninstall a few times via CC app. Tried repairing the CC app, no different.
Treid another local account/user, same results.

The same with me! Only ME 14.2 works on Catalina!
I've tried few times, but crash before opening!

This appears to be a widespread problem. Is Adobe working to correct the issue? ME14 worked initially, but is currently broken. This is unacceptable.

Also, if 14.2 is still working, as some have indicated, how can I downgrade from 14.3?

Hey Mike!
In the CC app, click the 3 dots next to Media Encoder and select Other Versions. There should be an install button next to 14.2.

I am copying the reply from Shivangi. The article listed addressed the fix for me:

Hi all,
We're sorry to see that AME is giving an error while you're trying to launch. I researched and found an article.
Check it out: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/products-crash-launch-macos.html
I understand that the version mentioned in the article is old. However, the steps mentioned are still applicable.
Please give it a try and let me know if it helps.
Thanks,
Shivangi

This fix seemed to work for me! I am running an iMac Late 2014 with 32 GB RAM + Catalina and was having the same issues with Media Encoder mentioned above. Very slow launch, then once it finally launched, it gave me the error that it had to quit and to contact Adobe. So I followed the steps in Opton 2 from the link Shivangi provided above, i.e. opened the cache folder for Adobe Media Coder and deleted all the folders 12, 13, 14 in the cache folder for ME. Then I relaunched Media Encoder and it worked perfectly with Premiere Pro. It should be noted that I manually deleted the old versions of the Media Encoder before I ran this fix, but I don't think that was related. Thanks for the link Shivangi!

I hope this works for others, but I tried these steps before reverting to 14.2 and none of them worked for me.

odd part of this is that deleting the folders worked on my MacPro, but not on my macbook pro. Go figure

Interesting. Do you have the same operating system on both?

Same issue here wiith all versions of AME 14.3. Been getting around it by dropping back to AME 14.2 which is fine but annoying.
This is only an issue on our edit suite running a Mac Pro (Late 2013) running Catalina 10.15.6. All working fine on all other machines including a couple of 2019 MacBook Pros running the same macOS and on our PC based suites.
Have tried the cache delete thing that was posted and various restarts and reinstalls along with various other recommended approaches but no joy...
Worth noting that this was installed on an absolutely clean install of the macOS with no iCloud prefs or back-ups etc - just a base macOS as a starter. Installed the entire CC suite from fresh and it presented this issue right away with AME. It starts up and goes through the splash screen and then just stops and quits with no messages... It just stops its thing and dies...
I regularly rebuild our edit systems and diagnose/solve issues etc and am used to jumping the hoops and trying all the suggested fixes but this one has me stumped....
Any suggestions Adobe folks?

Same here, I resorted to Encoder 13.1.5.
Catalina 10.15.6
Application won't get past the splash screen and tells me it has to close.
I find it unacceptable with the number of people having this issue that Adobe hasn't found a solution. They had no problem charging my credit card for a service that is lacking.

same here @Adobe do you want to solve this or not? Huge amount of filmmakers switchting over to Davinci at the moment.

You have to grant access to FULL Disk Access, Files and Folders in Apple Menu/ System Preferences/Security & Privacy.
Ok, maybe it's a bit to much access but it worked for me.

Did you try to Cleanup the adobe Media Encodre Preferences and Application Support ?
You could Start your computer in Recovery Mode and Disk Utility / First Aid and reboot in Safe mode to rebuild the desktop... Or you could use Onyx ( https://www.titanium-software.fr/en/onyx.html ) to do a little cleanup...

Sadly this suggestion has not fixed it... Ta for the suggestions though.
Just for info - this first started happening on a completely fresh install of Catalina - zero'd the disk and rebuilt the system from fresh with no old settings or accounts etc (as we do every 4 months with our edit suites) and installed all the software from fresh with latest versions...
Have tried the Full disk access and Files folders too and did a reboot in safe and a clean and all the things...
No joy!! Come on Adobe!!!
Back to AME 14.2...
