Hi @straightlife

I hope this message finds you well.

Could you kindly confirm if you're still encountering the issue after updating to the latest version of the app? To ensure everything is up to date, please visit the App Store (for iOS) or the Play Store (for Android) and install the most recent version of the app. Once updated, I recommend rebooting your device and checking if the issue persists.

Here are some common causes and solutions for this issue:

1. Restart Your Mac

Sometimes, simply restarting your Mac can resolve temporary system glitches.

Disconnect the docking station and any connected devices, restart your Mac, and then try reconnecting the docking station.

2. Check File System Format of External Drives

This error can happen if the file system of an external drive or connected device (like a USB or external SSD) is incompatible or corrupted.

To check the file system:

Open Disk Utility (from Applications > Utilities).

Select the external drive or device in the left panel.

Look for the File System format (e.g., exFAT, HFS+, APFS).

If the drive is unformatted or corrupted, you may need to repair it using Disk Utility (by selecting First Aid) or format it to a compatible file system.

Note: Formatting will erase all data on the drive.

3. Run First Aid in Disk Utility

If the issue is with an external device, run First Aid in Disk Utility to check for and repair any disk errors:

Open Disk Utility.

Select the problematic drive (or external device).

Click First Aid in the top toolbar.

Confirm to run the check, and Disk Utility will attempt to repair any issues.

4. Reset NVRAM and SMC

Resetting the NVRAM and SMC (as described in the previous message) can also resolve certain hardware-related errors that may cause this issue.

5. Check for macOS Updates

Ensure that your macOS is up to date. Sometimes file system issues can be resolved by system updates that fix bugs or improve compatibility with external devices.

Go to System Settings > Software Update to check for any available updates.

6. Test with a Different Device

If the error occurs when connecting an external device (like a USB drive or SSD), test the device on another computer to see if it works correctly. If the same error appears, the problem may be with the device itself.

7. Reformat the External Drive (if necessary)

If the device’s file system is corrupted or incompatible, and you don’t mind losing the data on it, you can reformat the device:

Open Disk Utility.

Select the external device.

Click Erase at the top.

Choose a file system format (such as APFS for macOS devices or exFAT for cross-compatibility).

Click Erase to format the drive.

8. Check for Docking Station Firmware Updates

If the error is related to a connected docking station, check the manufacturer's website to see if there are any firmware updates or software that needs to be installed for macOS.
