Adobe scanner with out Internet

I understand that Adobe scanner first use cloud to save it then allow you down load to my device and will remove copy from cloud if it is not being shared.

if that is correct then I would not be able to scan when I don't have access to internet since  I will be using it out of state and in locations that internet is very slow or not available. 

right?
