I was shown 7 day free trial but then was charged for 890 when the Autopay was set up. I'm furious about this scam. What should I do to get my refund. I wanted a 7 day free trial which was shown and not a subscription right away.

Amrutha, thanks for posting about your recent subscription commitment to this public discussion forum. Sorry for any confusion, but refunds are available if you cancel within 14 days. You can find information on most Adobe subscriptions at https://adobe.ly/46oExcG. If you do not wish to be charged and continue to your evaluation, then please cancel your new commitment through the Google Play Store. Please see https://adobe.ly/3Vx39cW for more details. ^JW

Dear Adobe Support Team,
I recently subscribed to Adobe Scan through Google Play under the impression that I would receive a free trial. However, within minutes of subscribing, I was charged the full annual fee of ₹6,200.
Details of my purchase:
Google Play Order ID: GPA.3309-1768-4333-29462
Purchase Date & Time: 26 Sept 2025, 10:49:43 pm IST
Account Email: salvinjohnyy@gmail.com
Amount Charged: ₹6,200.00 (includes GST ₹945.76)
Payment Method: UPI (PhonePe)
I cancelled the subscription within 5 minutes and reported the issue immediately to Google. Unfortunately, they informed me the refund request was declined under their policy and advised me to reach out to you directly.
Since I never received the free trial, never used the premium service, and cancelled right away, I kindly request a refund of this transaction.
Thank you for your understanding and prompt support.
Sincerely,
Salvin Johny

@salvin_0484 Unfortunately, you are mis-informed. Because you had cancelled with 5 minutes, Google is the primary handler for refunds, especially for recent purchases. Since the subscription was purchased through Google Play, Google handles the billing and payment processing—which Adobe has no access to their accounts and billing. Google is responsible for processing the refund according to their policies.
