I have a very strange issue when I scan off an image in my camera roll as opposed to taking a picture.
In this case I want to turn a screenshot of an email into a PDF. However, when I select the image via Adobe Scan, it's strangely warped, like a piece of paper being moved while physically scanned.
Why is this happening? I would have assumed a nice straight sharp scan would be the easiest thing for Scan to parse.

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.
From the description, it seems like a filter is being applied to your scan.
Would you mind following the below steps:
1. Click on the Home icon;
2. Click on the three dots (More);
3. Click Modify Scan;
4. Scroll the bottom filter options and select Filters;
5. Check if the filter has been set to none;
6. Once selected, click on "Apply to All Pages."
Let me know if this helps. If not, please share a screenshot of the scan or a page of your scan that you do where you see the issue.
Look forward to hearing from you.

I checked but no filter is applied to the scan. You can see here the warping from a portion of the scan - the original was a clean screen capture on my phone.
The warping does not happen with photo scans.

@William26991268zirp Thanks for sharing the screenshot.
Would you mind sharing a full screenshot of how it looks after adding to Scan and the original image?
If the file has any sensitive information, please feel free to share it over a private message.
Also, the scan app version you are using to narrow down the approach for investigation.

I deleted the original screen shot, I just tried again with the same email and this time it worked fine, so consider this closed for now? Perhaps it was a fluke. The warping happened to a few screenshots, but now when I try again it looks fine. Weird! Sorry to waste your time.

Hi @cableguy316 No worries! I am rather glad that it worked for you.
Please feel free to reply on the same thread if you happen to encounter a similar issue. I would be more than happy to take this up with the dev team for further investigation.

I had the same issue importing an image through adobe scan on my iPad Pro. I figured out why it did that its the crop issue. The image loaded in warped so i clicked crop and the crop window was skewed so i just adjusted the borders to scan the entire image instead of a small window and it worked!
