I scan a lot of homework that I do in pencil. Because of this, Adobe Scan's default processing setting of black and white is unreadable. It cuts out a lot of my writing, because it's not in ink. I have to wait a minute or so just to undo the processing, as if the images aren't cached in memory, even though I have enough RAM. I just want a setting that allows me to change the default processing mode, in my case to original and unprocessed. The app could also use a setting to use more memory if desired by the user also.
