@HAGEI776

I did a bit of poking around and see that "Copy to Device" is new and will save to your device. You can also save as a jpeg, copy to DropBox, Set a PW, and more. Will any of these help?

Hi @HAGEI776,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

Concerning all the suggestions shared above, Adobe Scan is a cloud-based service, and you cannot use the application without it uploading the file to the cloud for OCR and storage.

This is in line with the fact that the application cannot access your files application to write files automatically unless you use the "Copy to device" option.

As a workaround, I suggest using the option "Copy to device," as suggested by Jane, and then deleting the file from Adobe Scan.

Note: You cannot modify or open the file through Adobe Scan again if you delete it from the application.

Hope this helps.

Hi Sinan_guenes,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Currently, there is no option to upload scanned documents to SFTP other than Document Cloud. However, you may visit the following link to share your feedback to the team: Scan iOS Feature Request and Bug Report Form

Thank You,

I switched iPhones and I always had saved my adobe scans.  I had over 75 documents in there including all of my important medical records and when I switched phones they are all gone.  Nothing is in the cloud or reappeared on my phone.  Are they lost?  Please help.

Hi Maryslostscan,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As you have mentioned that you always saved the files, it should be saved n the Document Cloud.

When you save scanned image to PDF, it gets saved in the Adobe Scan folder in Document Cloud.

Please go to https://cloud.acrobat.com/  and sign in with your Adobe ID that you used for Adobe Scan application on your last iPhone.

Once you are signed in, go to Files > Document Cloud > Adobe Scan. Check if you can find your files there.

Let us know if you have any question or need any help

i have been using Adobe Reader with Scan in iPhone 7 and love it.  The update to Adobe Scan now uploads all scans to your Cloud and no longer do they reside on the iphone.  I use these documents in the field when i am traveling, sometimes out of cell and wifi range and the documents are confidential, i am prohibited from storing on clouds by customer agreements.  How can i store the scans only on iPhone and turn off your cloud?  like the old version did?  please help thanks. i don't want to use another imitation pdf app.  I am also a Adobe Pro Customer.

Dear Customer,

Sorry to hear that our new workflow doesn't work for you. We will consider to implement to save the file in the offline later.
In the meantime, we have implemented a feature (Files Provider) that you can manage your files from the Could in your device.

You can copy your files into your iPad or iPhone if you need to manage from offline. But you need to upgrade your device to iOS 11.x.

1. Upgrade your device to iOS 11.x
2. Download our Adobe Scan App from App Store
3. You can scan your document from our Scan App.
4. Open Files Provider App in your device, the app image looks like a folder
5. Go to Locations/Browse/Adobe Scan
6. Select the file, and press a second , you will see content menu popped up

7. Select Copy

8. Go back to Locations/Browser/On My iPhone or iPad, and paste the file in your device.

Hopefully this will work for you.

Thanks

For the past 10 days, my scans are not uploading to Document Cloud. The message says, "Waiting to upload). They are small files, only three pages. I have Wifi access.

I think the problem might be related to the iOS version on the iPhone 6:  iOs 10.1.1  (the latest available is 11.1.2). Adobe Scan is 17.11.4.

I've been avoiding the iOS upgrades because of all the battery life problems.

Methinks the latest iOS release and /or the latest Adobe Scan version are causing the problem. Any thoughts?

Dear Customer,

Sorry to hear that you have trouble to use our Scan App. Please try several ways below that may fix your issue.

Download our latest build (17.11.30)  from App Store.

1. Double check you can search info in your Safari in your mobile device to make sure wifi is working.

2. Go to Setting/Preferences, make sure you don't turn off Allow Cellular Data Usage.
3. Please switch between RECENT and ALL SCANS window, our Scan App will synchronize with server, and try scan again.
4. In the Recent window scroll down the screen, our Scan App will synchronize with server, and try scan again.
5. Logout and login again, and try scan again.

Hopefully your problem will go away after you try above steps.

Thanks for sharing your issues with us.

Thanks Steven. It is now working.

I tried #1 through #4. That did not make any difference. When I did #5, it worked like a charm.

The only caveat with #5 is that all the unsynched files should be uploaded before doing it. The two files I had scanned disappeared. All the other ones disappeared too, but that didn't matter. They had already synced to the cloud.

Those two disappearing files were not a problem for me, though. I had emailed them to Dropbox.

Thanks for your help, Steven.

Hi TuFotoAlbum,

Adobe Scan app works with Document Cloud as the scans you capture uploaded to Document Cloud to help you stay connected wherever you are.

Please see my post concluding this problem isn't solved. Can the status of this topic be changed from presumably solved into not solved? Thanks in advance, Gerard
