Adobe XD crashes (White screen) on launch on Windows 10 machine

Hi Everyone, please try to update XD to the latest version using this link: - Update apps to the latest release of Adobe Creative Cloud.​ In case that doesn't work, please try solutions mentioned below-

 

 

If you still face the issue, please generate logs, Crash dumps and upload them to a shared location such as CC or Dropbox and share the URL with HARSHIKA_VERMA.

 

We will try our best to escalate the issue.

Hi There,

 

Thank you for reaching out and sorry to hear you are facing trouble using Adobe XD.We would like to know a few more details  like-

  1. The version of XD.
  2. The version of Win OS build which you are using(Type run in search tab present taskbar and type winver inside run: share the screenshot of it).
  3. The version of creative cloud.
  4. The version of Graphic driver(type dxdiag on Windows search and select the Display tab)
  5. Are you getting any blank screen while opening XD.
  6. Is it possible to share video of your Issue, so that we can Investigate from our end. 

 

Also we would request you to please try the below troubleshoot steps and let us know if that works-

1. Try creating a new user account on your machine and then try to launch XD. If it works, go to the previous account-.

2. Signout of Creative Cloud Desktop app

3. End all all Creative Cloud desktop app process from task manager.

4. Uninstall XD, Creative Cloud Desktop app using the Adobe Cleaner tool: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

4. Restart the machine.

5. Install Creative Cloud, XD.

If this doesn't help, once it crashed please collect the system logs so we will make sure to report the issue for investigation. Though, we would need Adobe logs and Crash dumps of your machine for investigation purposes. Please generate the logs and upload them to a shared location such as CC or Dropbox and share the URL with us here or over a PM.  We will make sure to file a feedback ticket of your machine's logs

Adobe XD crashes on Win10 - After two years of dissapoinments I gave up on it. I don't recomend my students or friends using this annoing useless time consumer heart breaker software. i broke free of tring to fix this sh***!

Finally solved this Issue: Don't Close the Adobe CC in the background.
It must be opened even if you are working locally and not saving your file to the cloud.

I just installed the latest version of XD as local Administrator on Win10.

 

XD launches normally while logged-in as local Admin.

 

When I log-in as end user, who is a domain user and member of LocalAdmin, XD freezes on the initial splash screen that displays.

Are there any suggestions on how to isolate why it freezes for the specific user?

What Worked for me:

 

Installed creative cloud while having adobe xd crashed app on Laptop win 10.

Uninstalled Adobe xd through Adobe creative cloud.

Downloaded adobe xd free version with

:https://www.adobe.com/products/xd/pricing/individual.html 

 

The moment you click on"Free Download", Adobe creative cloud screen would pop-up and start downloading.

After completion it would open by itself.

After installing Adobe XD from cloud in my windows(windows 10, 16GB RAM) system I am unable to open the application. When I click the icon to open just the white screen with logo pops up and after couple of minite the logo will disappear and only palin white screen remains open for few more minites. The popup window will automatically close after few minites. I have browsed through the solution provided for the similar issue and have tried all of them. Still the issue exist. We are sorry to hear that. Could you please share the screenshot of your about XD info page? If you've tried the solutions suggested in the article and community and nothing works. We'd request you to please share Adobe Logs and Crash dumps with us so that we can log a bug for your issue and escalate it to our engineering team for further investigation. 

 

Logs help our team to investigate the root cause of the issue so they are very important to us.

 

Once the logs are generated, please upload them to a shared location such as CC or Dropbox and share the URL with me here or over a PM.

Was working fine a few days ago, no matter what i try, will not load

I have;

1. uninstalled;

1.1 Adobe software

1.2 C++ distributables

 

2. run creative cloud cleaner

2. deleted all adobe folders

2.1 C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Packages\Adobe.CC.XD_adky2gkssdxte

2.2 C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Adobe

2.3 C:\Users\dan\AppData\Roaming\Adobe

2.4 C:\ProgramData\Adobe

2.5 C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe

2.6 C:\Program Files\Adobe

 

3. cleaned

3.1 C:\Windows\Temp

3.2 registry with ccleaner

 

4. run sfc /scannow

 

5. reinstalled XD

 

I have tried running the app from creative cloud, from start app directly, signed in and out

this is the common error in the log everytime it eventually closes, windows event just says it hangs and shows nothing useful

If that doesn't help either, please collect system logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html and add the log file to a shared location like Google Drive or DropBox, and share the link through DM.

as you can see ive already done all that, the logs are there aswell. its
affected everyone in the office, will just have to wait until you fix the
obviously known issue

hello everyone, I have a problem with adobe xd, It doesn't work, I'm trying to open it about 4 or 5 hours ago, It starts with the white screen and stays for about 30 seconds and then it closes automatically, I uninstalled it from the creative cloud and install it again and it shows the same problem

How is this issue not solved yet? 

Been around this the entire day, trying to get Adobe XD to work and I just can't. 

How is it possible that an issue is open, or without a fully working solution for way more than a year?

this adobe XD is a real disgrace, it doesn't work, it crashes all the time, it sucks, in Windowns it doesn't work properly, Figma even works on a calculator, Adobe is rubbish.

Hi,

 

I've tried all of these solutions, yet none seem to work. Adobe XD keeps crashing on my computer whenever I launch it, showing only a white screen for 1-10 seconds depending on the version. I've tried installing earlier versions, of which version 20 works. Any newer version than that just doens't even launch. 

 

For school I need to use component states, v.20.1.12 of Adobe XD (which actually works on my computer) doesn't have that. This means I really need to get any version above v.24.0.22 to work. Again, I've tried all of the solutions mentioned above. I've even let someone, who's handier with computers than me, try these solutions, but still nothing works. I'm also not sure if it doesn't launch because of a certain Windows update or my AMD Ryzen 7 processor, since Adobe XD actually worked some time ago. This just keeps becoming more and more frustrating since my deadline is within 10 days and I still need to get a lot of work done.

 

Lastly, I don't understand why this problem is marked as "SOLVED", since several people seem to be still having this issue.

The above instructions are not resolving our issues. All of our WIndows users are not able to work right now. Can you please give a workaround or resolution asap?
