Hello, thanks for the reply!

I created the plugin folder and now it works!

~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Adobe XD
The right thing was to create in Adobe/Adobe XD

but then every time i launch xd, the deleted directory gets recreated. the error would persist.
this sounds like a bug and will perpetuate this error message until xd points to the correct directory?

I tried these steps and I cannot install any plugins. I just get the red triangle of doom. Any other advice?
Me too... I just get an error in the bottom..!
Are you seeing this issue with all plug-ins or just some?
All plugins..! I had two help desk personnel take control of my machine and try to fix it but in vain.
Yeah me too. I tried the permissions stuff on my Adobe folder but I am still getting the red bar error when I try to install plugins.
Can you send me your case number and the URL of this post over a private message? I want to check if there was anything special about your case. To send a private message, click my picture and use the Message button.
Adobe is apparently capturing my log. I am sorry I do no know what my case
number is. My case is solved..!
Thank you & Regards,
I followed this process before installing the plugin but the error message is showing "Problem installing the plugin. See help center for solution" in Mac (10.14.04 version)
Thank you for taking care of the initial troubleshooting and your observations. Before I pass you on to tech support, can you try solutions in this document Issues installing XD plugins that aren't covered in your initial troubleshooting procedure and let us know if you need more assistance?
Every plugin I try to install gives me a "Plugin installation failed message". Not sure how to fix this. I don't think it's a permissions issue because I followed suggestions from the "Help Center" and my Adobe folders were not locked. If there are any steps I can add to help debug this issue, please let me know!
Whenever I tried downloading a plugin called - Rename it, this error throughs - "plugin installation failed (code errno5) adobe xd".
I have tried uninstalling and installing adobe xd but no result, same error. I use Windows laptop
