Horizontal scrolling in XD 30.0 on Windows

Updated XD (30) but can't make the horizontal scroll feature to work

I can make the vertical scroll to work (with mouse scroll when previewing), but the horizontal doesn't work. Am I missing something?

Tengo una consulta, generé un prototipo con la nueva funcionalidad del "scroll horizontal" que trajo la versión de XD 30.0, y puedo visualizarlo correctamente si hago un preview dentro del programa. El tema es que cuando genero un link para compartir el prototipo (ej. Behance) el prototipo en el link no me permite hacer el scroll horizontal. Esto a qué se debe?

Y en el link debajo está el que no puede scrollearse.

Hi, I have opened the link of your prototype that you shared and, I can tell you, that the scrool works correctly if you use the touchpad. I also tried with the mouse, but in this case only the vertical one works.

That's right I can with the trackpad but not with my mouse, and it's confusing for those who hasn't a notebook.

Hi,

New feature of scroll groups doesnt work like they should in my opinion.

Vertical one only works with mouse scroll even on mobile artboard instead of mouse drag.

Horizontal one does not work at all.

Nice and helpful feature of Adobe can make it actually work.

It actually works if you preview on a phone and use your finger to drag, or if you use a stylus / graphic tablet.

They know about the limitation and said they will be adding the option to drag using the mouse in a future update, so we can just wait at this point.

Also works if you go into inspect mode on chrome and set it to a mobile profile. Not helpful for a desktop mockup but its a workaround that i'll be using for my mobile designs to be able to use this feature while they work on a solution

When you say, it does not work, does it not work in Design Specs or the Preview Mode? Is it part of the limitations mentioned in this doc https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/create-scroll-groups.html?

If it is, these limitations are going to be addressed very soon in a future update.

This is the Preview recording, as you can see, I used the horizontal scrolling function, I cutted the blocks, and then tried to move horizontally and I couldn't

Vertical scroll group doesn't work on W10. I'm all up to date on both Windows and XD. I've tried this feature on two different innstallments as well. It just doesn't work. (Horizontal scroll group works.)

That's strange behavior as we have seen problem with horizontal scroll on windows machine but not with vertical scrolls. I tested vertical scroll at my end on windows machine and it worked fine. Would you mind confirming if you're following the same process as mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/create-scroll-groups.html? If yes, could you please share a short video for better understanding?

Hi there,

im also experiencing problems with the group scroll, ive downloaded the Demo file "Notes-App-Demo.xd" and the vertical scrolling is working fine but the horizontal scroll is not working - at all, ive also noticed the bunch of items ive selected as a group scroll with text, the fonts looks strange, kind of blury and not clear.

please advice.

Could you please check that you have enabled touchpad scroll from your Windows settings->Touchpad->"Drag two fingers to scroll" ?

If horizontal scrolling in other aplications/Chrome does it work for you?

It would be helpful if you could attach a sample file where this issue is reproducing. Also, let me know what windows version and laptop model do you have.

I'm not that used to the touchpad and didn't know it had the "two fingers" gesture to scroll. I tried it and it worked.

Hi,

Can you try scrolling horizontally using the trackpad and confirm if it works? On Windows the mouse wheel interaction is limited to vertical scrolling. Click and drag to scroll support will be added in an upcoming release.

When we test the prototype: nothing. No scroll.

Edit: even with the sample file from your website: nothing.

Test on Windows 10 - No horizontl skroll

Test on Mac - Work (badly) No skrolling, work only click and Drag

Same problem here. Horizontal scrolling doesn't work on Windows 10 while previewing the prototype (within XD or browser.) But I tried on my phone and it works.

Seems to be a problem with Windows.
