Export as svg, open in illustrator, ungroup all layers, release all layers to sequence, export from ai as .psd. Hacky but works.

Till know there's no way to export or open an XD file on Photoshop.

You only can export it to PNG o SVG.

AdobeXD is a failed project since it can not export to it's very own company software. Useless, for real UI/UX designers... Wasted 1 hour on doing something just to find out I can't export assets and code from them.

Check out Zeplin integration. https://theblog.adobe.com/introducing-popular-3rd-party-integrations-adobe-xd/

There are a lot of tools in works that are almost there. If nothing else, it's all better than it was 10 years ago!

As of now, there is no direct way to convert XD file to PSD or Ai format. We are hoping to get this feature very soon. So what you can do is written below:-

First you can export the XD file in SVG and then open it in Adobe illustrator then through illustrator there is export option as PSD in this manner you can do but there you will now get exact XD file to PSD because while converting the XD file in SVG the images were not get converted also the shadow is not get converted in SVG.

Another option is you convert the XD file in PDF format then you can open that PDF in Adobe Illustrator and the from adobe illustrator you can export it to PSD.

You don't need to convert the XD in PSD?

Yes, you can do your development work without converting the XD file to any PSD etc. What you need to do is just select the elements what you need for the development on the artboard and while exporting choose "Web" option it will convert the chosen elements in the formats you specified.

Thanks to Adobe for supporting the Zeplin Integration in January update of Adobe XD. So development becomes really very easy.

I hope this helps you.

As of now, there is a direct way to convert XD file to PSD. It is possible with www.Photopea.com.

Once you are there, click File - Open, select an XD file, and click File - Save as PSD.

Lots of people use Photopea to convert Sketch to PSD. Photopea can convert anything to PSD.

Hi Julia,  you shuld go to www.Photopea.com , open your XD file (File - Open), then press File - Save as PSD, to get your file as a PSD.

It is not possible to convert XD to PSD with Adobe software at the moment

There's no way to at least export in various layers? When saving SVG, everything merges into one layer

Ohh you were lucky then!
When I tried it with my work, everything changed positions, fonts changed and scattered across the page, and random shapes appeared, of course, visuals changed completely
So it doesn't work correctly for all.
