How to recreate this text animation in XD?

Anyone have an idea how to recreate this animation on the words "What's New" on the Adobe XD update page? I have provided the link below. I wont to put on my website or for a case study gif.

In general to do this in XD, convert the Text to a Path, then use that Path as a Mask over some object, and finally move the object using a Transition or Auto-animate.
