Is it possible to combine auto-animate and overlays?

I love the new auto-animate feature, but it's not that practical to use when you have to copy the whole artboard for each animation.

Is it possible to place the animations in a overlay sequence, and then add different overlay-animation to the same artboard?

In that way I could have e.g. a loadingbar in one overlay and the search bar animation in another overlay, and just add them to the same artboard.

Or if it was possible to build the animation in a symbol?
