Question

Scroll the prototype?

It would be very useful to be able to create designs bigger than the prototype window and scroll them...

...which leads onto creating fixed objects

...which leads onto creating master objects - that appear on each design

But nice starter

Also it'll be nice if we can adjust the point when scrolling starts.

I have over 50 artboards that are in portrait (1024x1366), most with very long content. They look great in my large monitor. I'm able to see the entire portrait view and scrolling is triggered when content exceed 1366 in height. The problem I ran into is when I want to present and share screen on my laptop, the prototype scale to fit on my laptop screen. It would be great if I can adjust the dotted line, which is default set to 1366 down to like 800. When presenting on my laptop, at least I can view the screens at 100%.

    Hi brandonh57143426-

We're continuing to refine artboard scrolling; what you see is just the first cut. You should take a look at this UserVoice story - you can upvote, add your thoughts, and get updates as we continue to iterate.

Having the ability to demonstrate scrolling in relationship to any fixed elements that do not scroll would be great. Either it be a header bar fixed to the top or a floating object.

Yes, I'm sure that scrolling would be on the roadmap. As you say, nice start though for sure!

Scrollable content is indeed coming. The team is working on this now. Can you tell us a bit about your use case for what you are building and what you want to scroll? This will help us understand all the use case to ensure that we cover them.

    Thanks!

    Hi Joan,

I'm looking at this to prototype a couple of projects - which both have multiple repeating parts to the design.

    • It would be useful to be able to scroll a repeat grid, because - lets face it repeating grids of items are rarely less than one page long.
    • Also if I had a mobile side-menu I might have to scroll that (think a bit like the Facebook friends list on a mobile)

But then if I have items that scroll I'd really like to anchor a grouped heading to the top of the page

And if I have a header bar then I think it would make sense to make that a master item

    Thanks

    Simon
