What day do they release the monthly builds for XD updates? Is it around the 13-17th of every month and does Adobe let users know in advance what they are releasing or on the day of?
Invision Studio is set to launch this month (Jan 18) and currently using Sketch but would like to jump on board the XD train but it still seems premature so far.
Also does Adobe have any plans to acquire Sketch in 2018?

I don't think Adobe will ever going to buy Sketch, because they would have done that instead of developing XD. Now that Adobe has created their own cross platform app with XD, I don't see why they'd be buying Sketch... a Mac only app that XD is trying to compete with.
XD updates are not released on a specific schedule, they put out updates when ready.
InVision Studio is going to be interesting to see when it's released. If it lives up to the hype, it's going to give XD and Sketch some real competition. 2018 should be a interesting year for these design tools.
