XD Publish link issues after big update

After the big update last week (June 2018). Now the Publish link is not working.

When you update a already publish link it starts and gets stuck on 75% and does nothing. When it do update is not the latest changes you made. The screen render/graphic does not update to what you change on the screen in the file. I have a file I open and when I go to update the link its fails and there is a 24 hr delay.

And when I "save as" the xd file to a new version and update the link it seem to be stuck on the old rendering of the previous file. So when this started happen I made new links for all my older files. But now a new issues has started the v1 xd file "partially" updates to the new link and now the new version v2 "partially" updates on the old link. It uses to be able to version up and still use the same link or if you wanted you could do a new link.

What is happen here, please fix this asap!!!!!

Hi,

I had the same issue and I contacted the customer support and the problem was that I had not wired all the pages. I had designed 30 screens and it would upload only 4. When I went into prototype only 4 were linked so it was only uploading 4. So go to your prototype section and link every page in a random order for a start.

Also having this issue, spending most of my freelance time trying to get this link to my client!

This has been happening on and off for at least 4 months now... over 3 versions.

Im now on latest version (and not in Russia).

Please make this a priority - it's the main selling point for the whole app!

Same problem still on latest version of XD: 11.0.22.10. Gets stuck on 75% with updating an existing link. Very annoying!

If you wait long enough, are you seeing error 44:70:0 being shown or is it just waiting for a long time at 75% and then finally completed the update operation?

If I wait long enough the update window with the 75% indication disappears without any error. When I check my wireframes after that, there isn't any change visible in the link. But when I check the link again the day after, the changes are visible in the wireframes. In my case it seems to be some very long delay of 12+ hours on updating changes in the wireframes.

I noticed also now that this problem only occurs by my largest wireframe project with 40+ artboards. I've no problems with other smaller projects with 5 to 20 artboards.

I also have the same problem.

I constantly have problems with the published prototype. The published prototype isn't shown properly. Some pages don't load, or it's loading really, really slow. Generating new link helps, but only until next update - then problems start again. I can't with each new update to my XD project generate a new link because it makes difficult to effectively communicate with my client.

It would be great to get an update on this issue.. in my opinion, this is core functionality and needs fixing ASAP.

My prototype name and date stamp are being updated on the published URL but my design still shows a previous version.

Because we haven't seen a lot of issues after the latest update, I am wondering if this issue has got something to do with your network. If you are from Russia, we have seen a few users complain of the IP address to the publishing server being blocked in Russia. I have conveyed that to the product team.

and why then 2 months ago everything worked?

We are all having the same issue in the office too. 75% and sometimes takes multiple times to upload the prototype. Then, once it has been uploaded the screens are loading incredibly slowly (Tried on both Wifi + 4GLTE networks)

I have similar issue as discussed above and I can't reach any of my previously published prototypes (ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT).

Which type of link were you trying to create now in newer build – Was it public, password protected or private link?

Was the earlier published link of a different type than what you are trying to update now?

Did you add Fixed elements to your design after updating to June release of XD before updating the links?

If possible, can you share your .xd files so that we can try reproducing it on our end? You can upload the file to a shared location such as CC, Dropbox, or Google drive and share it with me over a private message.

Forget public specs, it is a shit.

Use zeplin、avocode、pxcook、lanhuapp or other tool.

Things were better for a while but now I'm running into the same issue again. Hangs at 75% - super frustrating. I have the latest version of XD.

Something that worked today, was to delete all published links and upload from scratch. The upload still had a long pause at 75% but eventually did load correctly. Bummer having to share all new URL with clients, but it did work.
