Custom box mask makes AE crash.

This new Beta update has introduced multiple bugs.  One being in creating a mask on a layer.  When i started creating and dragging the layer, it crashes.  Ugh.

We need more information in order to investigate.

What exact build of After Effects Beta are you using? Open About After Effects from the Help menu on Windows, or the After Effects (Beta) menu on Mac. As of today, the current build is v23.1.0.38.

Mac or Windows? What version of the OS?

When you drag to create the mask, what type of layer are you drawing it on? Solid, adjustment layer, shape, text, etc. If it is a footage layer, what type of footage is it? Does the crash occur on all types of layers or only specific layers? Are there any effects on the layers?

Do you get the Adobe Crash Report dialog? If so, are you submitting it with your email address? We can look up these crash reports if so.
