I saw awhile back one of the update notes said:
"Fixed an issue that caused a delay for the render job to start. (v22.214.171.124)"
However it seems like I still have a long delay between hitting Render and the render actually starting, giving me the blue stripey-string -- and it does it between each composition in the queue. Was that note referring to something else, or is something still broken here? It actually seems to have gotten worse as of the latest beta from yesterday; now when I hit render, I get absolutely nothing for many seconds before I even get the blue stripey-string, which I then have to wait after.
This is on Windows 10 Pro 20H2, 6-core Xeon, GTX 1070
Something else looks broken there. While there is still some delay in starting rendering with MFR, it shouldn't be anything like your video shows.
Can you enable logging (help menu -> enable logging), reproduce the issue, stop the render, then collect the log files (help menu -> reveal logging files). If you could send the After Effects log.txt to email@example.com, I can take a look at what's happening.
If you don't happen to get to this today, we have reproduced something similar internally today and have a fix that will be in 22.0x30, which will get to CCD in about 24 hours from now.
Hi, sorry I've been mired down in client changes all day.
I just emailed the logfile, let me know if you need something else. Thanks!
Can you please try the latest build and let us know if the issue is fixed or not for you?
Sorry for the delay in response.
Indeed, I no longer have the extra delay before the blue stripey bar appears.
