My After Effects 2023 crashes while opening.
I am attaching the screenshots.
Please help.

@Northon Souza It means that your CPU doesn't meet the requirements for the version of AE you are attempting to run. AVX is a hardware feature of CPUs and is required for AE. Starting in AE 24.0, you will need a CPU with support for AVX2.

The issue is caused by an update to the Home Screen feature in AE. There is a fix rolling out. In the mean time, if you can open a project by double clicking the aep file to start AE, that will avoid the crash. Once into AE, if you go to Preferences -> Startup and Repair, and uncheck the Show Homescreen option, that should avoid the problem as well.

Hi,

I have just subscribed to Adobe and installed Creative Cloud. All the apps installed are fresh and up to date. After installation of After Effects, I run into a problem as the application crashes immediately after launch. After checking some recommended solutions advised in this community, I tried to press CRTL+ALT+SHIFT (I use Windows system) are reset preferences. This did not help.

Please advise what is wrong and how can I resolve the issue. Thanks in advance.

Meu after effects está dando esse erro ao abrir, ele aparece essa mensagem e depois fecha.

Alguem sabe como resolver?

We believe this may be being caused by a recent update to the Home Screen in AE. You can test this theory by directly opening an .aep project file (double click on it) and see if that allows AE to open. If that's the case, we are working to get a fixed Home Screen out today that will be updated automatically.

Hi Nikuj,

Sorry to hear about the crash.

Do you have a language pack installed on your system? If so, which language is it? Please try the following workaround:

Open After Effects by double-clicking an After Effects project file.
Go to Edit > Preferences > Startup & Repair.
Uncheck Enable Home Screen.
Restart After Effects.

Bonjour, depuis ce week-end je rencontre un problème sur 2 machines différentes (2 comptes adobe différents)

lors du démarrage d'after effects, le logiciel plante au lancement avec les messages d'erreurs ci-dessous.

Le problème est apparu suite a un reset complet des machines ainsi qu'une MàJ BIOS.

J'ai déja essayé de :

-Réinitialiser les PC,

-Réinstaller After Effects,

-Installer et mis a jour mes drivers

-changer de version AE

!!! j'ai aussi désactiver la fonction "Activer l'ecran d'accueil" cette méthode me permet en effet de lancer After mais je souhaiterais lancer After avec cette fonction activé.

Je peux aussi lancer des projets existant mais impossible de lancer After via Creative Cloud ou raccourci. !!!

voici les spécifications matériels des 2 machines :

After effects 23.6

OS : windows 10 Pro 22h2

CPU : I9 - 12900k AND I9 - 10900k
GPU : RTX 3070Ti AND RTX 3080
RAM : 64Go DDR5

Sorry to hear about the crash.

Do you get the crash reporter when After Effects crashes? If so, do you mind providing your email address to it and submitting the report? We'll be able to find it on our end to get to the root. If the crash reporter doesn't show up, please follow the steps below.

Open an existing project (After Effects will not crash).
Go to Help > Enable Logging.
Close After Effects and relaunch it by clicking its icon. It'll cause After Effects to crash.
Launch After Effects again using the project file.
Go to Help > Reveale Logging File.
It'll open up a few folders. Please share the file named "After Effects Log.txt" from the Logs folder.
