After Effects 25.5.0 build 4 crash when loading EXtractoR effect on EXR layer

No crash if loaded onto a Solid (makes no sense but just tot test)

When loaded on an EXR layer the effect crashes After Effects.

 

Even the latest beta of AE crashes, the difference there is that it crashes immediately and closes the app instead of giving the windows below.

 

Win 11

AE 25.5.0b4

RTX 3090Ti / NVSD 581.29

 

Does not crash on a Mac.

Hey @Paul Uu ,

Hope you received my DM and/or had a chance to look at it already.

To exclude the posibility something with our office machines is off with maybe third-party stuff or whatever, I checked on my personal machine in the latest Beta. I'm getting the exact same crash. I've added a video of it in my original post.

I recall sending a report but it would be from my work account. I'll screenrecord the issue with both versions and send you some details, all via DM as it's going to be from my work machine.

Greetings, and thanks for reporting this issue.

I am not reproducing this issue with any of the .EXR footage I have on hand in either AE 25.5 or 25.6 Betas.

I also am not finding crash reports having been submitted with your associated email. Did you send a report (with your email) from that crash report dialog? If not, it would be very helpful for determining what the issue is, if you did so. If you did submit it once, could you please try again?

Also helpful would be a video showing the exact steps you are taking which cause the crash. Sending a download link (via direct message) to an .EXR file which reproduces the crash for you.
