After Effects crashing every time I try to use text

Hi I'm using After Effects version 24.5 and since I downloaded a font I now can't use any text in AE without it crashing. I've deleted that font, reset the fonts panel, deleted my cache, reinstalled AE and its still happening. I'm using a 3xs PC.

Sorry you are experiencing this. Did you try deleting your preferences? We do have last used font information that is stored there which might be causing AE to continue interacting with a bad state. 

Also, do you get a crash dialog after this happens? If you can DM me the email that you use to send in your crash reports, we can take a look at it from our side to see what is going on.
