After Effects on MacOS Sequoia crashes upon the loading screen

My After effects won´t start anymore.

it crashes upon the loading screen and shows the crash message: 

Last log message was: <145585> <MEE_Plugins> <5> /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore.

My setup:

MacBook M1

Sequoia 15.0.1

I already tried older versions. I even reinstalled everything. But the error still remains.

What files are in that /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore folder?

The thing is that there isnt a plugins folder...

I suspect you're in the Library folder of your user account, not at the root of the hard drive.

Thanks - can you remove the AEXD plugin (copy it to your desktop or somewhere else) and then see if the crash continues?

It still crashes. And it still shows me the same error message.

After it crashes, is there an Adobe Crash Reporter dialog that appears that allows you to submit the report? 

The next step in starting up AE after that log file is generally hardware devices. Any chance you have a Blackmagic device or other Transmit device? Or a tablet drawing device? 

Perhaps we can get enough of a log file generated to see what is going on. Try this:

1. Open up \Users\[username]\Library\Preferences\Adobe\After Effects\[Version of AE you're using]\logs (make the logs folder if you don't have one)

2. Create an empty text file called "After Effects Log.txt"

3. Start up AE and let it crash

4. Go back to the Logs folder and copy/paste the content of the After Effects Log.txt file back to this forum.

Yes there is a window for submitting the report. 

My Hardware:

- I have a Wacom Graphic tablet. But it havent used it for almost 2 months now.

- I use a Audio Interface (Focusrite 4i4). But it even crashes when pluged out. 

I created the log file as described. Thats what came out:

I am not successfully finding your crash logs in our system. Without that information, it is very difficult to diagnose what is happening on your system. Let's try another method to collect them.

Could you please do the following:

1. On your Mac system, please navigate to the following folder: /Users/USERNAME/Library/Caches/Adobe/After Effects/25.0/
2. Within that folder, locate the folder: SentryIO-db
3. Compress that entire folder and its contents and attach it here.

Ideally, this will give us some indication as to what is causing the issue.

I was able to download your archive and that has given us a good lead as to what may be happening.

On your system, can you:
1. Navigate to: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC/File Formats/
2. In that folder, you should see a file named Camera Raw.plugin.
3. Copy this file to the Desktop.
4. Now move the version of the file still contained in /File Formats/ to the trash, so there is no longer a copy of the plugin in /File Formats/.
5. Attempt to launch After Effects. 

Does this resolve the issue on startup?

If so, could you please then get the copy of Camera Raw.plugin that you moved to the Desktop to us for further investigation?
