The image you sent has a resolution of 999x515, an odd number of pixels, so scaling up into a 1920x1080 comp won't be able to get a perfect scale. AE, and similarly Photoshop, will either overscale and lose a pixel around the edge, or underscale and leave a pixel of alpha. You could rescale the image in Photoshop to remove that edge case or just scale the layer in After Effects.

Is the Source Footage an Illustrator file?  If so, it might be rasterizing with an extra pixel added to both the width and height.  For example, a 500 px by 100 px object in Illustrator may show as 501 px by 101 px on the After Effects side.  If scaled to the Comp width or height, this can results in it showing through to the background along the egdes.

I dont feel comfortable publically sharing the image. I could send it to you privately. comp size is 1920x1080.

What's the size of the comp? What about the image in the template? Are you able to share the image file with us?
