Could not launch Adobe Analysis Server error in After Effects (Mac, M1 Chip)

This is maddening. This issue has been going on for years and all of the so-called "fixes" on the Internet and in these forums do not work. Disabling plugins doesn't work. Starting in safe-mode doesn't work. Resetting Preferences doesn't work. How can you have not fixed this issue by now?
Us professionals RELY on using the camera tracker and using Mocha is a pain.

After resetting preferenece, I get the notification of a long list of plugins that are not compatable with the M1 chip. However, I can't find ANY of those plugins to disable. So why are they on the list?
I'm on a 2022 Mac Studio running OS 14.6.1 and the latest version of After Effects 24.6.2.
Almost everyone who has posted about this issue has gotten feedback from Adobe and 99% of those people still have this issue. Occasionally you'll see a response from someone saying that the fix worked for them. None of them have worked for me.
What would be MOST helpful is for Adobe to post a complete list of plugins that could possibly be the cause of the Camera Tracking not working. That way, we could diagnose this better. But maybe that's asking too much.

There isn't a document that I know of. It was just a path to the analysis server. For Windows, something like C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 2025\Support Files

One thing we've found recently in investigating this issue is that it may not be the Analysis Server itself, but the DynamicLinkManager process has either stopped running or has been killed off by the OS or user. AE will use the DynamicLinkManager process to start up and communicate with the Analysis Server. So if you're seeing the Analysis Server warning, make sure that the DynamicLinkManager process is running. If it's not, try restarting AE. If it's still not there after that, then something on your system may be blocking access to the DLM (perhaps the firewall or an anti-virus software, etc.).

Hi @jenkmeister17177426  , I saw that you found a solution to manually start Analysis Server, however, I can't find the document. I'm using Windows 10, do you know where I can find it, please?

Might have been pre-mature. Tried to track a scene today and back to not working. I manually launched the server and it still didn't work. It's in the Privacy settings set to allow full disc control. So there is no rhyme or reason why it would be working fine one day and not the next. And by the sounds of it, Adobe doesn't really seem to care if they fix this or not. Lame!

@jenkmeister17177426Well, you might be right. Still, this is something Adobe needs to get a grasp on. I found a way to go into Privacy settings and give the AAS approval for full disc control. I closed Terminal and restarted After Effects and that seemed to work. So for anyone who happens upon this thread - this would be one way around this issue.

Permissions are the only thing I can think of. Could be file permissions, or something in the MacOS permissions in Settings -> Security. But we don't have an internal repro right now to look further.

@jenkmeister17177426- it's been a while. Wanted to see if there was any further thoughts as to why everything works when I manually launch the Adobe Analysis Server? This should be working in the background.

@jenkmeister17177426- very odd. When I manually start the Analysis Server, everything works just fine. AE has all of the necessary permissions set up in my Privacy settings, so I'm not sure that's it. But now knowing that the Server isn't starting on it's own, maybe we can pinpoint the root cause. Is there any way to make sure that buried program has proper permissions? Definitely seems like a programming issue on the Adobe side.

Perhaps permissions to the folder or executable? Maybe one of the dialogs that pop up on first startup accidently denied permission to the disk or other processes.

If you manually start the Analysis server and leave the terminal window open, then start AE and try the camera tracker, does it fail in the same way?

So I went through the steps on my work computer. The same steps I went through on my laptop. When I ran the Analysis Server on my laptop, I got a report that popped up in a window. When I ran it on my work computer, I got nothing.
All that's in the terminal window is: <114890> <Analysis Server> <5> Intialized Console (that's not a typo BTW).
So there is clearly an issue with communicating with the Analysis Server (which would track with my error). Question is, why?

thank you @jenkmeister17177426

It will have to wait until I'm back at my computer on Monday. But a funny thing, I was having the same issue with my Laptop (an M2 Chip). And I went through the same process as with my Mac Studio M1. Even deleting the Topaz Labs plugin. And the tracking is now working on my Laptop (and I was getting the same error). I'll go through the steps on Monday and report back here what I come up with.
Thanks for your reply.
