Media exporting strangely

Why is After Effects doing this?

I've got the proportions sorted in the way I want them on the image on the right and it all looks fine until I export the animation:

However, this is the result once it's exported:

The image has gone really thin and weirdly proportioned.

Hi there,

Can you please post a screenshot of your Composition Settings, as well as your Export Settings? It sounds like you might be dealing with non-square pixels somewhere.
