After Effects v25.0.1.2 Freezing and crashing

I am having the exact same issues. Just navigating the UI causes freezing and the beach ball. 

MacBook Pro, 64gb RAM, M2 Max Pro and I can't even do basic AE work that was easy and quick to do 10 years ago.  Adobe's quality control is absolutely unacceptable.

Thank you for reporting this issue. I've moved your message to its own thread so we can focus on what you're encountering.

A log file would be the best place to start to see what is causing the hang you are seeing. Please choose Help > Enable Logging, then restart After Effects as prompted, then perform the actions that are causing the hang. Then go to /Users/<yourUserName>/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/25.0/logs and share the contents of the "After Effects Log.txt" file, either here or in a DM to me.

You mentioned navigating the UI—do you have a project open when the hang occurs? Are any of the footage or assets in the project on a network drive?
