unable to obtain dynamic link server

Ugh this error is killing me, and I have searched the forums here, but it doesnt seem like therre is an answer....It works fine on my machine at my office, but the office is closed. How do I get this running?

 

Windows 10 Pro

21H2

Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10980XE CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz

128 GB (128 GB usable)

Nvidia Geforce RTX 3090

OK...warp stabilizer in Premier Pro works as expected...no errors.

The only log file produced however was called this (below) and was encrypted or something. I can send if you like but it looked like an alien language.

One random thought - do you have any specific Anti-virus program running on this machine? Just wondering if somehow it's decided that something in AE needs to be shutdown.

No actually....I just use the standard Windows 10 protections, and stay off sketchy sites. The only issue I have is that I havent set up One Drive because I pretty much hate it. But no, no 3rd party virus software

A couple of other things to check:

 

1) Do you have the firewall enabled? If you start up the built-in Windows Firewall, and go to Monitoring -> Firewall, are any of the AE settings blocked? 

 

2) When AE is running, look in Task Manager to see if the Adobe Analysis Server.exe is also running. If it's not, Quit AE, then go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects (Beta)\Support Files and try to run the Adobe Analysis Server.exe and see if it stays around in memory. If so, then start AE and see if you can Camera Track.

Ok...so first thing, wasnt entirely sure how to get to "monitoring" But there is a place within security that says to "allow an app through firewall" , When I got there, saw this. (attached). Checked Private as well, and ran AE....ran the tracker, got a crash submit reprt box...hit OK, report goes away, and then I get the "unable to obtain dynamic link server" error again. So I guess nothing there?

 

Second thing..ran Adobe Analysis Server.exe,  Started with AE 2023...ran cam tracker...crash...creates DMP file, hit OK, AE still running fine...just no tracker.

Next run AE Beta...no anaylis server running...close beta. Run Adobe Analysis Server.exe(Beta). Open AE Beta, run tracker, Same issue. Also Analysis quit in the middle

Were you always getting that crash dialog or just after changing the security settings? That is most likely the analysis server crashing which is what I think is going on. If you didn't, please make sure to submit that crash report with your email address and I can look it up in our crash dashboard.

Full disclosure, I am honestly unsure. Since we are talking both 2023, and Beta, I cant keep it straight.
I dont always get the crash dialogue, but it does happen sometimes. intermittently.(God I hate that word)

I submit them sometimes, but not always with email.

I just submitted two within the last 5 minutes. Email inserted.

I kept my eye on the analysis server as the crash happened,it never went anywhere. Seemed to continue to run throughout the process.

I think we've found one crash log that matches your system. The email address did not come through (unsure why, we are looking at that further, so tried to match on your Windows version, GPU, Memory, etc.)

 

A few thoughts, assuming I'm looking at the correct crash:

 

a) Can you upgrade your video driver? It appears to be one from Dec 2022 and NVIDIA have done quite a few fixes for AE and PPro in the past few months to fix crashes.

b) Can you clear your disk cache (let's use the Beta version) - you can get to that in the Startup and Repair preferences. The crash log seems to indicate a crash in the application while the OS is trying to write to the media disk cache.

c) I think you may have Supercomp installed - if that's the case, please make sure it is updated to the a version newer than 23.0.0. That is known to crash AE.

d) There is something else from Keen Tools potentially installed. If so, it might be worth uninstalling that to see if makes a difference.

Weird about the email not coming through...My graphics card driver is newer then you mentioned, but a game ready driver...will switch to the latest Studio driver(I game on this rig too, but I think I still can with the studio driver.

Trying again. sorry for taking so long, had a lot of projects that kep me from this.

Latest update

1:updated to Nvidia studio driver 535.98

2 updated AE to 23.4 build 53

3 imported footage and Animation> track camera

4 Got "unable to obtain dynamic link server " in both regular and safe mode.

In my previous post, that apparently didnt work, I made a joke about throwing out computer as step 5....it was very funny, I assure you
