2022 AfterEffects not recognizing PNG files

I just upgraded to 2022 and knew it was a mistake. AE2022 opens up an existing project, but no longer recognizes PNG files. The lion's share of my work includes PNG. What could be the issue. The PNG files were working fine in the previous versions!

    Sorry for your issue.

    What happens when you open the project? Do you see any error message? Are you able to import the PNGs in a new project? If so, importing your existing project into a new one could help.

    OMG! Whaaaaaat a stupid answer! Are you seriously tech support??? The question was - AE NOT LOADING PNG FILES! What else do you need to know???

    He needs to know the things he asked, which is why he asked them. 

    This is a complex piece of software that does thousands of different things, across multiple hardware configurations and with a huge variety of filetypes that could have been generated in any number of ways. No one on these forums can magically know all the specifics unless they are provided. * There are variables involved. *

    He's also trying to help ensure the problem, if one exists, is solved for all users, not just one.

    People can either provide some additional information to help get their problems solved, or not.
