22.3.0 build 107 can't import certain files

Have an issue where all of a sudden certain files won't import. For example a simple .wav audio file ( AE Error: Could not open source file. Please check that the file exists with correct permissions. (86 :: 1) file '*.wav' cannot be imported - this EAVE file is damaged or unsupported. )

All these files import just dandy into older versions of AE 2021.

What that makes some sense is that these files that cause the error are on dropbox, and some where not yet local synced when importing/opening the AE project. So an error there would make total sense. But once its downloaded locally, it still gives the error, thus not making sense. When I make sure all the files are locally availble, AE 2021 then clears the error and imports and opens everything fine. AE 2022 will continue to display the error and refuse, even though the files are there and work.

To follow up, the new update 22.4.0 (Build 56) seems to fix this issue.

Hi Felix Mack,

Sorry for your issue.

I agree, this doesn't make any sense. Could you try changing the permission as instructed in the following article: https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/x-productkb/multi/preferences-folder-read-only-error.html

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Nishu

Same problem here. Look like a problem with dropbox.
