3D camera Tracking stuck on initializing, no matter what kind of video

It's likely you have a third-party plugin that is interferring with the 3D Camera Tracker starting up. Go into Effects -> Manage Effects, and disable all the third-party effects. Restart AE and then wsee if the 3D camera tracker will start up.
