3D Element missing preset materials

hello!! I have downloaded 3d element on my mac for after effects 2022 and imported a 3d phone to edit, but there is nothing under presets for physical materials. Its just empty. i have tried re-downloading element 3d, restarting my laptop, restarting after effects, ive tried downloading different 3d phone models, but nothing works. does anyone know a solution to this?
