3D rendering issue

New Here ,
Aug 02, 2021 Aug 02, 2021

Hello! - I hope you're all well.

Currently having some issues with 3D rendering.

My 3D settings are set to Cinema 4D, and i've attached my layers to this post. When I rotate the Cylinder, i'm currently seeing abnormalies in the texture. I'm following a tutorial to the tee, so not sure why i'm seeing this.

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!

It looks to me like a hard shadows problem.  I'm not in front of my PC right now, but that's where I'd start.  How many layers do you have?  If you can supply a screenshot of your whole window, it might be easier to spot any issues.

What tutorial? Most of them are presented by enthusiasts and the workflows and descriptions leave a lot to be desired. When you have problems with a tutorial it is important that you tell us which one you are trying to follow.

Your cropped screenshots don't tell us much. We need the entire UI and the modified properties of the problem layer showing. I rearranged the workspace so that you could see everything and demonstrated what I believe to be the problem and the solution by embedding these screenshots*. All modified properties of all layers are showing. I just pressed the "u" key twice.
