Hi there i need some help in geting some extra credit for my after effects class.
here is the thing my teacher said to replicate this, if we wanted a extra point added to the class final score evaluation.
What i need to replicate: light_animation+smoke2 + light_animation+smoke3
My question on these effects that i have to replicate is how was the lighting done, ive searched trough every material he gave us students and i still cant figure this out.
So far this is what i have so far but i'm not sure if i am doing it the right right way.
I request some assistance please.
When working with 3D layers, lights, and Cameras, it is always a good idea to have at least two camera views. The look of the reflections and the shadows is controlled by adjusting the Material and Light Options (press aa). The C4D rendering engine was chosen because the text needed to be extruded, and shadows were needed. Adding a little ambient light to the scene is also always a good idea.

Select the light and the Text layer and press AA to reveal the Light's Options and the Text Layers' Material Options. Make sure that the light is set to receive lights, probably cast shadows, and the light is set to Cast Shadows. I assume the 3D text is extruded because you have selected the C4D rendering engine. The Google Drive links you provided are not public. They require permission to see, so I have no idea what kind of effect you are trying to replicate.
The C4D rendering engine severely limits the tools you can use to make a composite, so there could be some fancy things going on in the sample you are trying to replicate.
A simple screenshot of the final design would help us help you.

I apologise to the drive link i forgot to give the permission they should be visible now i tested it on another PC and it worked.
As for the the C4D rendering engine i am using it because that is what my teacher say to use, as a habbit i used to use the classic 3d one because every tutorial i find online uses that one, so i kinda found it wierd my tearcher telling uses to use that one, but i guess it has something to do with is personal preferences. i dont know.

If you properly position your light behind the Text layer and above the Floor layer, make sure the Comp Camera is in the right position, then fiddle with the material options, and you'll be able to get the look you want. Here are the basics:
It looks like you have most of the rest of it figured out.
