5027 :: 12 AEGP Plugin AEDynamic Link Server: Adobe Media Encoder is not installed

Explorer ,
Jun 17, 2020 Jun 17, 2020

When trying to export ( File > Export > Add to media encoder queue )

I receive the error message in the subject line of this post.

Mac is up to date and I've attached image of computer specs.

Here is what I've tried so far:

  • Restart
  • de-install and re-install latest versions of After Effects and Media Encoder
  • de-install and install previous versions (AE 17.0.4 and ME 14.0.4) based on another support article
  • de-install AE + ME again + run repair CC Cleaner Tool

I restarted computer between each step and removed preferences using CC prompt (no manual deletion)

I would greatly appreciate support help on this as nothing is working and I continue to get the same error message, and therefore cannot export anything from After Effects to Media Encoder.

Hi, I had to have our IT staff remove and replace everything from the ground up. It resolved the issue so I will close the ticket, thanks.

Hi there,

Sorry for your issue and thanks for the detailed post.

Could you try turning off the firewall and disabling the antivirus to avoid any interference?

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Nishu

What kind of answer is this?  What is the normal fix? C'mon.

Use this code:

mklink /J "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CC 2025"

And type your folder containing the Media Encoder .exe, just copy-paste the file location, this is mine as an example:

"C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"

Open CMD as administrator

paste both lines and hit enter, like this:

mklink /J "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CC 2025" "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"

You should get a message like "Junction created".

After that, it worked for me.
