Adobe After Effects not responding

Hi, I have been working on an intro latley and it has recently crashed saying (Not Responding), I had the option to wait or close and I do not want to close it and loose all those hours of work, if there is anyway I can make it respond faster please tell me.

There is no such thing. If you haven't saved your work before it's simply gone.
