Adobe crashes because i imported something

Ok so what happened to me was when I tried to import some file that I wanted to put in my project then my Adobe just crashed when I tried to import and my project did not save. Can someone explain why?

Sorry, but this is way too vague to make any sense of it. You have not even provided the basics such as what file types you imported, system info and so on. You need to do a much better job of giving us something we can work with.

lol i forgot the system is after effects cc 2021 and I tried to upload an mp4 clip to my project and it just crashed halfway
