Adobe text later impot

Question

I am having problems impoting an Adobe text layer into AE
I created a PSD fie in Photoshop conatining a single text layer
When I import the PSD into AE the text that I wanted to import in not an AE text item
I beleive I have used the recomended import settings.

Can anyone provide suggestions?

You have a specific use-case issue but only provided generalized information. You will get better replies if you provided specific details on your issue -

- screen capture of the PS UI with the Text Layer
- did you rasterize the Text Layer in PS?
- how did you import the PSD and what options did you select?
- screen capture of the layer in AE, in its Timeline and Composition panels
