Advanced Lightning doesn't work in AE 23.4.0 (build 53)

It just doesn't work. No preview, no render, as if it didn't exist.
After applying the plugin to a solid or anything else, you can change any parameter, it makes no difference, nothing happens.
Tested on MacPro 2019 and Macbook Pro M1 14 2021 with Ventura 13.4

Can you install the latest version of After Effects and see if the issue persists?

    I've tested on my Macbook Pro M1 2021, 13.4 machine. New comp, New solid, Advanced Lightning applied to the solid and the lightning appears. If I keyframe the conductivity state then I get animated lightning. 

     

    Could you share the project you're having trouble with to see if I can reproduce it further?
