AE 23.6.5 crashes when applying CC Radial Blur

Hi everyone!

 

AE 23.6.5 (build 4) crashes as soon as I apply the CC Radial Blur to any kind of layer.

 

I've tried reinstalling this version and it keeps crashing. I've downgraded to 23.0 and it works perfectly.

 

Intel processor i7 10700

64gb RAM ddr4

GPU Radeon RX 580 8gb 

 

What could it be?

    I don't think 23.6.5 will get any patch updates. I'd recommend updating to the latest version and see if the issue still exists. Let us know if you need any help with updating the version to the latest.

    thanks. i rolled back to 23.6.2 and that resolved the CC issues.

    i have just updated/started using 23.6.5 and am having the same issue with the CC effects. i also saw a post on reddit where others are reporting the same issues (cc sphere, cc light sweep, cc vignette)

     

    i'm not able to update to 24, so would like to know if there will be any patch issued for this, or are CC effects now dead for 23.6.5 users?

    Thank you for reporting this issue. If you update the latest version of After Effects (24.3.0.50), does the same crash occur?

     

    When the crash occurs in 23.6.5, have you been able to submit a crash report with your email address?
