AE adds black background for 3D layers

Hey, 

 

i am trying to animate a butterfly. I went on with my standart procedure. I've importet a PSD file with 3 different layers, all of them are with a transparent background. Everything gets shown perfecty fine until i check the 3D layer option. As soon as its 3D all of the layers get a black background. So the background of the top layer blocks all of the layers underneath. 

 

I am using Adobe After Effects 2023, hopefully somebody can help.

Start by switching the 3D renderer to Standard 3D. Depending on what you actually did with your PSD layers this would be perfectly normal when using the C4D renderer:
