AE Alert Last Log Message Crashes related to updates

Hi there. I woke up this morning and chose destruction apparently....I updated my mac to the new OS Monterey Ver 12.0.1. Immediately after, I opened After Effects and started getting errors at startup. I figured it was a compatibility issue, so went into Creative Cloud and realized there was a brand new version waiting for me for AE (22.0). After waiting (half of the day) on updates- I hit a similar wall when I started up AE. 

Any ideas on what I should do now?! Thanks.

    Same issue, but on Ventura. Think the solution will still apply in below fix?

      Yes, that worked for me, thank you!

       

      I had removed the plugins from the After Effects specific folder, but had not removed them from the common plugins folder.

        Were you able to use After Effects on the Monterey OS before getting this error? Does it crash on launch or is there anything specific that triggers the crash?

          Confirming I am having the same issue.

          After updating to macOS Monterey Version 12.0.1 - After Effects is crashing before fully opening, and giving me the attached error message.  I have tried both After Effects 22.0 and After Effects 18.4.1 with the same result.

           

          Computer Specs:

          iMac Pro (2017)

          3 GHz 10-Core Intel Xeon W

          128 GB 2666 MHz DDR4

          Radeon Pro Vega 64X 16GB

          MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020)

          1.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i3

          8 GB 3733 MHz

          Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB
