AE crashes Windows completely when I press on the taskbar

Never had this problem before, it's only happening with After Effects.

AE 22.6

W11 22H2 22621.674

128gb ram

Ryzen 9 5950x

RTX3090

All of a sudden over the last 2 weeks AE has started to completely freeze and reboot my PC.

It always happens when I'm working on a project for a while, I'll click on any program on the taskbar and my PC will freeze, mouse won't move and keyboard doesn't work but music still plays. Eventually the screen will turn black and PC will reboot. I can reproduce this almost every time.

If I purge the RAM before I press the timeline then everything is fine. I think it's something to do with RAM usage buildup? I've left 12Gb for other applications.

I've updated all my GPU drivers and tried re-installing AE/resetting prefs. This only happens with AE

My CPU is not overclocked, and my GPU is underclocked.

Without any actual crash info we can't tell you much, but of course it's likely some sort of graphics driver crash. Check your event viewer.

Up.
Any solution from Topic starter?
I'm a paid Creative Cloud customer here.
Also when I switch AE to PR.
I already repaired my Windows 11 image at CMD > DISM
It is only AE. Everytime I use AE for 5 to 10 minutes. I need to alt+tab first and refresh desktop to avoid that Windows crash.

I found a solution:
AE > Edit > Preferences > Memory and Performance > % CPU reserve > 30% instead of 10% (increase it)
AE > Edit > Preferences > Memory and Performance > RAM reserve > 20GB (mine is total of 48GB, in short, increase it)

Mine is OK now after tracking so many circumstances.
Also try to disable iGPU (integrated GPU) if you have,
looks like Windows 11 is too buggy not AE.
Sometimes I can't double click Time in taskbar to show calendar even without running AE (need DISM > restorehealth) to fix.

I hope your system is OK now because it is so distraction for a video editor to have this bug.
