Hey guys,
I'm totally new to Adobe After Effects, and certainly am running into real beginners problems.
I have my C: drive set to run only the system, and software isn't supposed to fill its drive, or my entire computer fails. Which is the case now with AE.
I've set AE to cache only on another drive, and it is installed on another drive, but it keeps eating my C: drive space and within minutes of working on it I start getting space issue popups from it. Is there something other then "Media & Disk Cache" to control where it uses space?
Thanks!

Check your system's temp varaible and double check all the relevant cache settings in AE. For anything more exact info about this configuration will be required.

Moving temp off of C: does seem to have solved it. It was more likely then not that I'd get another drive and reinstall my entire PC setup due to it. Much appreciate that your tip fixed it!

Just one last thing please, you mention "all relevant cache settings", but as far as I can tell there is only "Media & Disk Cache". Are there more disk usage/cache options?
Thanks,

No, just making sure you didn't miss anything. Also if you use Dynamic Link with Media Encoder and Premiere you need to check their settings for this stuff as well.

Hey Mylenium,
Just went to continue with my AE project, and sadly it is still filling the c: drive, even though the temp files were now moved to another drive. I do not use Dynamic Link and Media Encoder, at least not that I am aware of. The project fills up the c: before I can barely get anything going.
I add one 180MB clip to the project and 2 small 100kb icons/images, and within minutes of working on it, my c: drive lost 10 GB of space.
If you have any more ideas I'd appreciate it - as the only alternative is getting another drive and completely reinstalling my Windows.
Thanks for your time!

If I close AE, the space on c: is fully restored. If I then open AE again and load the project, the space is still intact. But as soon as I press play to preview it, about 5GB of space is lost. Hopefully that might give a clue.
Thanks again

Removed "correct answer" just to not confuse people as I've seen that enough of us are having this same problem.
