AE23 - geolayers and free form pro crashing constantly on windows

Hi, I'm having a constant crashes in AE with geo layers and free form Pro. it use to be rock solid, then it became tempormental but now it's constant. It doesnt happen on mac but happens now on windows constantly when doing virtually anything. Software, plugins and graphic drivers are all up to date. Even the preset projects that come with geolayers are very unstable too and I've also done fresh reinstalls. The old ae22 has same issues.

    I've not got Geolayers and haven't had this problem with Freeform, but... the crashing you describe reminds me of an issue I had with File Explorer.  In Preferences > Preview, try disabling Hardware Accelerated Decoding.

    For me, it was the conflicts with the GPU that was causing the crashing.

    Awesome, I'll give that a go and see what happens. On a side note I started getting weird crashes on the mac pro when generating labels in Geolayers. The only work around when it hangs on the mac is to wait a few seconds then hit escape on the keyboard. Thanks!

    Turning off Cache helped it not to crash instantly but it still crashes a lot, and need to walk on egg shells and save every few steps to hopefully avoid it crashing all of a sudden...
