I'm new to After Effect , i have many problems :

1- I make a small project it contains only some basic shapes and background and i use only these effects (polar coo - mirror - audio spectrum - glow ) to make a basic circle and make it dance with the beats ! so the video is 4 minutes , when i tried to render it , i found that i will take about 7 hours !!!! i rendered only 33 seconds from the whole video and it's size is 5G !!! it's too huge for  such a video !

i tried to make sure that i've selected the exact area in the timeline but nothing changed.

2- when i click on Export to Media Encoder , the AME opens but nothing in the queue !

3- the preview screen for the project turns black , i can only see the result in the rendering screen.

4- AE produce only .AVI Files, how can i make it .mp4 ?

* I have The Latest versions of AE & ME

* I tried to clear the cache, it doesn't work.

* i tried to convert the 33 seconds-video from AVI to MP4 , the size droped from 4GB to 15MB !!!

* i'm working on windows 10

* my pc is 1T HDD Disk + 4G of RAM + 2G OF Graphic-Card.

With just 4GB, you can only have one application at a time.

  • Make the avi in After Effects.
  • Exit After Effects.
  • Open Adobe Media Encoder.
  • Import the avi.
  • Select one of the compression presets you will find in Adobe Media Encoder.

Needless to say, you can not have any internet browsers, social media applications or any other applications open while you do this.

There may be other problems, but I see a big problem right away.  You have VERY little memory.  4GB RAM is barely enough to keep the operating system, After Effects & Media Encoder running.  You need at least 8 GB, and 16 GB is better.

I know that is a very low memory, but at this moment i have to work with it, and my work at after effect is not that big.

I edit all me videos on premier & rendering with media encoder with no problems at all.

So , i can't solve that problems ?
