After Effects 2022 23.5 preview blank and won't run

I use After Effects 2022 on a windows 11 desktop computer. Ever since the 23.5 update, I am unable to preview any new compositions or imported files/videos, and the entire composition appears blank despite having visibility and sound toggled on (with the exception of an outline around a selected layer). I have attempted to close/reopen ae, purge all memory & disk cache, run in safe mode and reset my workspace layout - so far none have solved the initial issue. Fortunately, I am able to temporarily view and run the composition normally by opening a pre-existing composition/save file. Though I do find this very inconvenient, as I have to import all my clips, save the composition to my files, then reopen the file - just for the clips to be visible (which I did not need to do in 23.4). Not only this. but if I wait too long or choose to import an additional clip, I end up having to repeat this process again to view it. Does anyone have the same issue or any possible solutions for me to try?

The Adobe Creative Cloud app allows for the simultaneous installation of multiple versions of After Effects. Perhaps you could continue to use an earlier version while you solve this problem with the latest version?

This was something I almost tried, but I wasn't sure how to return to a previous version.

The frame rate of your project seems inconsistent with the footage. Would you check the project settings? Would you also update the graphic card driver?

I'm also having the same issue tried that still doesn't work if anyone figures it out please let me know

I actually did manage to fix this issue yesterday. I removed all the recent  compositions/files that weren't working and turned my computer off for a few hours. Seems like it was an issue caused by my computer.
