After Effects 2022 Keylight Effect Not Working on Windows 11

I tried the Keylight + Key Cleaner + Advanced Spill Supressor effect on a picture with black text and a solid white background, which I was trying to key out. When I chose the white with the color picker there was no change. The Spill SUpressor did seem to do something and I couldn't tell if the Key Cleaner was working or not because it wasn't keyed in the first place. I'm not sure if this is a software bug (especially with it being a new OS and Software) or maybe something on my end.

If you have a black and white image, you should be using Track Matte and set it to use Luminosity. No effect is needed unless the black is not black and the white is not white. You can always apply color correction to the layer used as a track matte to improve the matte.

Rick, could you please be more specific if it is possible? Screenshots those mentioned could help a lot.

I select preserve underlying transparency (the video don't have an alpha channel?)

Then I set the layer mode to Luminosity.

I think there should be something lame on first step of mine but not sure where it is...

As @OussK says, Keylight algorithms only work with blue and green colors. You have a lot of ways to do it. Luma Key is an option but you can try it with the Extract effect, Linear Color Key effects or even using transfer modes (multiply or screen) depending what color you are trying to preserve.

Keylight didn't work on white color, try Luma Key as a alternative solution to remove black or white color
