After Effects 2023 error not importing .mov [HELP]

Hello everybody.

I'm having a problem with Adobe After Effects version 2023 (v23.0, up to v23.6.2)

Problem:

After Effects error: File "VideoTeste.mov" cannot be opened, it may be in an unsupported format. (86::1)

Attempted solutions:

1. When opening Adobe After Effects 2023, and trying to import the .mov file, it displays an error (86::1)

2. I also tried changing the extension to .avi and importing and it displays the error (86::1)

3. Another alternative was to copy the C4DImporter.aex plugin from Cinema 4D R20 to after plugins (\Adobe After Effects 2023\Support Files\Plug-ins), but it didn't work.

I can't import .mov files

Are you attempting to import a file from a Dropbox volume?

If so, make certain it is not set to Make Online Only.

That's not ideal. Are you able to import the media file in any other app? Are you able to preview them in a Media Player? Also, is it happening with all the media files or a particular one?

Let us know, we're here to help.

Thanks,

Nishu

Yes, I can import to other devices, such as Media Encoder. The player's media is working normally.

I've reinstalled it, and even tested other versions to check if it's not a bug. But it also persists.

Is it happening with this particular media file? Could you share it with us to test? Feel free to DM me the download link if you don't want to share it publicly.
