Hello, thanks for the update and for your work.
There is a bug introduced in the scripting engine, when creating and updating composition markers.
That error makes my CEP Panel crash, I have to downgrade AE until it is fixed.
Here are screenshots of a minimal crash example:
1) Create an empty project, with an empty composition "Composition1"
2) Use ExtendScript Toolkit to execute the following code, which should create a composition marker.
There is an error CSelectronASSERT fail: layer is null, which is an exception.
The marker is created if you press the green triangle of the debug bar.
3) Use ExtendScript Toolkit to execute the following code, which should update the marker.
Same error.
Is it possible to correct this please ?
Best regards

More info can be found in this UserVoice post: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911311/suggestions/44793199
Thanks,
Rameez

NOTE: Installing the beta version will be a separate install and will not interfere with your current stable release of After Effects.
