Recently my After Effects 22.2 keeps crashing just after opening. I just get the standard: After Effects has encountered a problem and needs to close. After pressing send report/don't send, the dialog box disappears and the program closes.
However I find that some times, if I don't react on the error prompt I am able to work on a project in the background for a while, but when I dismiss that the error prompt, After Effects closes down.
I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling and updating Creative Cloud as well as Windows and graphics drivers.
I'm running on Windows 10, with a 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X with 64GB RAM and Radeon RX5600 XT
I have no issues with any of my other Adobe Apps (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc)
This is the first part of my error report:

After Effects fundamentally supports Nvidia graphic card. Would you change the setting like this?
File menu > Project Settings > Video Rednering and Effects tab > Use: Mercury Software Only

Sorry for the crash, tbroen.
How do you launch After Effects - by double-clicking a project file or by clicking its icon? Were you able to use the current version of After Effects before it started crashing? Also, do you have any third-party plug-ins or scripts installed?
Please share the complete crash report for the analysis and try resetting the preferences of After Effects as bacis maintenance.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Nishu
